At Least HBO Isn't Getting Rid Of Nudity
If you grew up in the 1990s and some of the 2000s then you loved HBO Late Night. Tons of softcore movies and documentaries about the world of sex that made staying up late, sneaking into the TV room, and watching it on mute well worth it. Sadly, those days are coming to an end because HBO saying goodnight to Late Night.
Yes, times they are a changing. Shows like Real Sex, Taxicab Confessions, and Cathouse will be no more. Though, I have to admit the Real Sex docu-series was kind of running out of stuff to cover. They had done like 30 of them, all awesome, but you could tell they were running thin on ideas. As someone from HBO put it:
“Over the past several years HBO has been winding down its late-night adult fare. While we’re greatly ramping up our other original program offerings, there hasn’t been a strong demand for this kind of adult programming, perhaps because it’s easily available elsewhere.”
While I think we should all shed a tear for the end of an era, I'm pretty sure we'll be okay. It's not like HBO is coming out and saying they are getting rid of sex and nudity on their network. One could argue that all the Late Night programming has been moved into prime time, I mean have you watched The Deuce?
