Brandi Is The Best!
Mile High Media all-girl contract performer/top MILF star Brandi Love sent her Fleshtunes over and they are classic. Enjoy!
Everyone who follows my Twitter knows that for me… narrowing down music to a top 100 list is nearly impossible! Trying to get it down to five IS absolutely impossible! Music, more so than any art form moves me deeply. It can make me feel happy and bring me to tears in a matter of seconds. Sometimes all it takes is hearing a few notes.
What may also be of interest to those reading this is that my musical tastes change with the seasons. In the fall & winter I listen to a lot of R&B, classical music, jazz, 90’s rap and hip hop.
In the spring & summer… I’m ALL about the rock n roll!
For some reason classic rock & summer just go together. It’s likely because my fondest childhood memories and current ones have been formed on the lakes of NW lower Michigan. There is nothing.. and I mean nothing more “Up North” than classic rock, BBQ’s and sitting by the campfire or out on the dock. As the matter of fact, I am typing this from a dock on Lake Charlevoix while listening to a Pandora station I have been perfecting for years called “Classic BBQ Rock”. I have even started a hashtag on Twitter called #BBQJams
So, this list is more of the songs that immediately come to mind vs an absolute top 5 favorite.
"All Summer Long" by Kid Rock: It doesn’t get any more local, or quintessential “Up North” than this song! Every time it’s on the radio we crank it way up! I have really fond memories of this song. It came out in 2008 or 2009 I believe and it was at a time when the Adult entertainment industry was going through some very rough times. Online companies were going out of business at a record pace and I had just started to shoot in L.A.. We were trying to figure out what to do with the business and moved the entire family from North Carolina to Ohio in order to be near friends who had a similar business model where we could combine expenses, personnel, marketing & sales plans etc.
My husband and I drove with the not so little ones from NC to Ohio in the summer that this song came out. They were playing it every 10th song and we would all sing along at the top of our lungs! It was nostalgic because of the lyrics and at the same time current because we were all embarking on a new adventure together. It seared into my mind because of all the emotion attached to it. It’s still and may forever be my all time favorite #BBQJams
"Mrs Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel: Kid Rock .. and then Simon & Garfunkel LOL! That’s me.. diverse! My parents LOVED Simon & Garfunkel and so I grew up listening to them especially when we were out on the boat. S&G was a go to for my father. For me, the earliest memories of "Mrs. Robinson" trigger the smell of hamburgers on the grill, drinking beers, tying up the boats at Put-in-Bay on Lake Erie and having a blast! In college, I took a course on film studies and chose (ironically) "The Graduate". It remains one of my all time favorite films to this day and of course features the Simon & Garfunkel classic. Maybe it really is fate that I ended up a MILF!
"Can't You See" by The Marshall Tucker Band: What can I say.. I may have been born in Michigan… I may still summer in Michigan and my favorite college teams are all in the B1G but my heart and soul walk through the Southland. I have been in North Carolina as long as I lived in Michigan. It’s “home”. Every time I return to NC .. from anywhere…I can feel the warmth. I’m home. The people of Raleigh are some of the warmest, most hospitable I have ever encountered, anywhere. period. It’s this warmth that will be forever tied to "Can't You See" by The Marshall Tucker Band. No matter how crazy things get … take a trip southbound.. it will all be OK.
"Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns & Roses: GnR will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart! My husband of 23 years and I went to see them along with Metallica at the Pontiac Silverdome back in college. He even got the Guns & Roses logo with our names tattooed on his gigantic shoulder! It has always represented us! We are both as delicate as a rose and as potentially dangerous as two guns. It’s still that was to this very day. Just read my Twitter timeline LOL!
"Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynrd: I mean come on. "Freebird". That song was made for me! It moves me on multiple levels. The first sentence …” If I leave here tomorrow, Would you still remember me”? I think about my Great Grandfather (Jesse L Livermore I) my Grandfather ( JL II ) and my father (JL III) it almost brings me to tears. Three great men, each battled depression along with the very question posed at the beginning of "Freebird". And each, tragically took their own life.
For me I think the question I ask to the fans and to the industry is… If I leave here (adult entertainment) tomorrow would you sill remember me? Some may not want to be remembered for their career in adult entertainment … I do. Same question runs through my mind with respect to friends, my family, etc.. I hope that I live my life in such a way that many years from now when I go Home, those that remain will remember me as someone who was genuine, kind and loved deeply.
