Kouroi Gone Wild

Kouros figures have a long and distinguished history in Greek art, but evidently a few square inches of fake plaster prostheses were too much for NBC, who studiously avoided showing these performers dressed up to look like Greek statues at the opening ceremonies last weekend. (Fortunately, however, we still got to see the Speedo'd crotches of the South African men's relay team in all their wet, clinging glory. So maybe things aren't so bad after all.)
