If you've ever browsed for vintage pulp novels on eBay or looked at their covers in various galleries on the web, you've surely encountered the work of artist Robert Bonfils, whose illustrations of breathless blondes and renegade redheads graced the covers of such forgotten classics as "Night Train to Sodom", "For Your Sighs Only", and "Lesbian Hell" and set a standard for the genre. (If anyone has a copy of "Jambalaya Loverman" lying around that they're willing to part with, by the way, let us know.)
