DVD: “Hot Rats”

We remember reading an observation once that French sex comedies were neither sexy nor funny; fortunately the Spanish don't seem to share that affliction, as evidenced by Smash Picture's latest Euro import "Hot Rats". (True, the award-winning hardcore smutfest is being promoted as a "thoroughly intoxicating fairy tale meets Twilight Zone tapestry", not a sex comedy, but we still can't help thinking it's pretty funny. Maybe it was all that bad overdubbing we heard in the trailer.)
