Happy Mardi Gras!

As proud residents of the Crescent City, we regret sometimes that over a century and a half of Carnival tradition has been reduced to what goes on in a six block stretch of Bourbon Street every Fat Tuesday. That said, it is Mardi Gras, and since we'll be out enjoying the party we figured the least we could do was share what's become for many people the highlight of the festivities before we lose ourselves in a drunken stupor for the rest of the day. (Besides, we're hoping some of those boob-ogling tourist dollars end up filling in the bayou-sized pothole down the block from us sooner or later, so we probably shouldn't complain too much.)
