“Shortbus” Actors Wanted

We don't usually post casting calls or job listings on Fleshbot, but since we've been following the progress of "Shortbus"—John Cameron Mitchell's "funny/sad study of sex, fear and love in downtown Bush-plagued New York"—we thought we'd share this email from the director himself, who's looking for extras to appear in what's certain to be one of the most talked-about porn flicks indie films with explicit sex to be released in ... er, whatever year it winds up being released. "Shortbus" Casting Call

John Cameron Mitchell writes:

"We're shooting in May and we're looking for 'sextras' for a scene in a kind of modern-day New York City salon (in the weekly Gertrude Stein sense, not the Jean Louis David one). In the film, there's a salon hosted by Justin Bond (of Kiki & Herb) and the 'sextras' would be having real sex in the salon's 'Sex-Not-Bombs Room'. Ideally, we'd like couples of all sexualities, ethnicities, and ages who feel safe with each other. We're especially looking for straight and lesbian couples. There is compensation.
