Women weren't allowed to compete or even watch the ancient Olympics, which probably had something to do with the fact that they were held in the nude—and although a lot has changed since then, we're grateful to Dutch photographer Ewoud Broeksma (whose photographs of contemporary Olympic athletes were featured on Fleshbot last year) for recapturing something of the original spirit of the games. Sure, not everyone who posed for his lens stripped down completely ... but be grateful at least that judo champion Mark Huizinga wasn't one of the shy ones.-RM
