This quietly eloquent tribute site to late French fashion photographer Guy Bourdin is very much a work of art on its own merit, though a casual glance through the lovingly collected galleries of Bourdin's ouvre as a shoe photographer for publications like Vogue shows that his concupiscent feel for the subject matter was a driving force in and out of the studio. And considering that his work spanned the 50s to the 80s and had such a fierce erotic, fetish-tinged edge, it makes me wonder how many Wellbutrin enemas the current crop of Vogue editors have had to make their new selections so dry.
