In Eon McKai's reworking of the New Wave Hookers mythos, which is probably unlike Marion Zimmer Bradley's crack at Arthurian legend, except in that they are both decidedly vaginal, it is nice to see that McKai takes to heart Jackie Treehorn's lament to Jeff Lebowski about the modern decline of story and feelings in erotic entertainment. On the pink-hued Greed generation set of Neu Wave Hookers, Justine Joli inserts an old VHS tape of New Wave Hookers to show the new guard, including Sita Suicide, Riley, Joanna Angel, and Felix Vicious how ancient professionals from the 80's plied their trade.

"We're hookers anyway, so this better be good," Riley says.

But Riley is all Method and McKai is all Meisner, so her mopey teen delivery, though it might be the most organic to the scene and emblematic of her generation, is not cutting it.

"Could you please make eye contact?" McKai asks.

Riley makes the adjustment. She combines the two styles by maintaining a barely audible disdain and turning her head slightly.

"We're hookers anyway, so this better be good," Riley says.

The result is riveting, revolutionary, and explosive (or so someone told me; I had gone home).
