More iPod Video Porn

Now that you can basically drag a QuickTime video into your iTunes and watch it on your iPod, it remains to be seen that pretty much any QT video that can be right-clicked is ready to rock, removing the novely of iPod porn marketing fairly quickly. But, until there's enough RSS video porn to make it too meta, click on over to PovPod for a couple free point-of-view, low-budget, amateur videos and a cute-as-pie striptease hosted at Wild Dolls. "I'm betting you received letters from numerous geeks about this already, but the new iPod is a lot pickier that iTunes about what videos it will play. The iPod will only play h.264 videos or Apple's mpeg-4 files with the following specs:

H.264 video:

up to 768 Kbps

320 x 240, 30 frames per sec.,

Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats

MPEG-4 video:

up to 2.5 mbps

480 x 480, 30 frames per sec.

Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats

If you pay the $30 to unlock Quicktime Pro, there's a preset in QT 7.0.3 to "Export to iPod", which is an H.264 file at 320x240. You can also use FFMpegX to convert most any type of video to an appropriate H.264 vid, or Handbrake to go from DVD->iPod. The latter is only available on OS X and Linux, though (okay, and BeOS, but I'm betting there aren't a lot of guys using iPods on their BeOS machine)."
