Let's imagine for a second that the web had been invented in the 1950's instead of the 90's, during a time when folks drove powder blue sedans with fins and Hollywood was putting out movies like "Sunset Boulevard" and "Touch of Evil". Needless to say, the internet (powered by vacuum tubes and punchcards) would have been a hell of a lot more stylish. Granted, Amy Rivera's art is a little more punk and a lot more integrated than the 50's ever were, but her posing girls exude the sort of timeless style that has as much to do with being a good photographer as possessing that ineffable talent of finding the right models and letting them do their thing. Makes me want to shack up in a mangy $3-a-night flophouse with my sweaty white boxers, sockgarters, laptop and wank like the old days ...A. Tolesco
