AVN Adult Film Guide

While the good folks at AVN are eminently qualified to guide consumers through the torrid, tangled landscape of adult videos, there's just a wee bit of hubris in their press release for the newly released "AVN Guide to the 500 Greatest Adult Films of All Time"; after all, our very own Violet Blue tackled the subject a few years ago with a thoroughly researched volume that remains required bedside reading for anyone who's spent any amount of time standing in a back aisle at a video store trying to decide between renting "Taboo 2" and "Taboo 17" for an evening's entertainment. (Our advice: stick with the classics.) Still, we're glad to see this hit the shelves: after all, can you ever have too much help when it comes to this sort of thing?
