Duran Duran: “The Chauffeur” (1982)

It came to our attention last night during a marathon drinking session strategy meeting with some of our less-seasoned colleagues that there may be some viewers out there who are not aware that the now-sorta lame Duran Duran was responsible for one of the most genuinely erotic music videos of all time: 1982's "The Chauffeur", directed by Ian Emes and inspired by Liliana Cavani's sadomasochistic love story "The Night Porter" and (even more explicitly) the work of Helmut Newton. So this post is to show those of you who haven't seen it before what some of us were drooling over in junior high school instead of the more usual purloined copies of Penthouse and Hustler (even then we had artistic pretentions); the rest of you will hopefully excuse today's gratuitous nostalgia. Either way, it's still one of the sexiest videos we've ever seen.
