Porn Valley Dispatch: Debbie Dies (Dallas)

The great thing about shooting porn in a cemetery is how one can actually hear people rolling around in their graves.

"Debbie Does Dallas—Again" is Vivid director Paul Thomas' return to the second or third most recognizable franchise in adult movies, and today we're in a cemetery east of Los Angeles where mourners gape at porners who gape right back at them.

"It's like 'Debbie Does Dallas' meets 'Heaven Can Wait'," said Vivid producer Shylar Cobi. "Debbie dies executing a difficult cheerleading move, then she returns to earth as Hillary Scott."

"You mean 'Debbie Does Dallas' meets 'Heaven Can Wait' meets 'Hillary Scott—Cock Star'," I probed.

"Sure."

Stefani Morgan plays the pre-resurrected Debbie, to whom the news of her death is broken by the angel Gwendolyn, played by Penny Flame. Flame was up in a tree during the filming of this scene, and was vocal about there being ants crawling up her ass.

"I'm a professional," Flame said, "but I'm just letting you know there are ants in my ass."

     Debbie: You've got to be shitting me. I'm dead?
     Gwendolyn: I'm not "shitting you".

Paul Thomas is porn's most honored director but I couldn't care less. I brought my copy of "Jesus Christ Superstar" for him to sign. He was exceedingly gracious (probably in compensation for denying Our Lord three times) and suggested I ask him again when the visiting Showtime crew was filming.

"What a dazzling career you've had," I might be heard saying to Thomas on pay cable in January, tears in my eyes, and I meant it.

Being on a feature set is considerably different from visiting a lower-budget production. For starters, we were in a graveyard. Sunny Leone said it didn't freak her out at all save for the funeral procession that had shared the space with the production earlier that day.

Second, we were in a graveyard.

"I will absolutely not fuck on a headstone," said male talent Derrick Pierce to Thomas, who tries to get realistic performances out of his actors. PT (as he is called) had to settle for a coffin-based sex scene between Pierce and Monique Alexander.

So you know (and I didn't before today), there was no sex, only dialogue, allowed in the cemetery before closing time at 4 p.m. After that, all bets were off.

Morgan said she'd never had sex in a coffin before. I admitted that I hadn't, either, but had in a cremation urn. I asked if it felt odd.

"Only the more and more I thought about it," she said. At least she had a dildo in there.

"Debbie Does Dallas—Again" will finish shooting by the middle of the month and is scheduled for an autumn release.
