The Oasis Bordello operated opened in Wallace, Idaho in the 1880s when silver was discovered in the area and the male to female ratio got all wacky. It operated until the late 1980s, when the madam was tipped off to an FBI raid and everyone took off in the middle of the night, leaving everything behind but their cash . To some, this may spell "used panties jackpot,"—but to others it spells "museum," which is exactly what the place is today. And just to give you that authentic feel of the place, there are mannequins representing hookers and johns all over the place with bad wigs and fake money. Three cheers for historical preservation!
