As if the cheesy creative spelling in the title of this curious DVD we received from Vivid this week didn't make us suspicious enough, the tagline on the no-frills boxcover trumpeting the fact that it contained "2 Hrs., 41 Min. of Erotica" did the trick: usually the word "erotica" tips us off that what we're about to see is going to be full of soft-focus shots of women with big hair louging in candlelit bubble baths while a Fabio lookalike strews rose petals over her naked body. At least we got the nature part right: former Penthouse photographer Philip Mond's "Insexts" consists of 2 hours and 41 minutes of models in stylized insect costumes doing the usual things models do in porn films except for the fact that they're doing them while wearing giant antennae and thoraxes on a set that looks like something out of "The Electric Company". Not our thing, really, although it may be exactly what the long-neglected entomology fetishist adult market may have been waiting for; in the meantime, we join with Friend of Fleshbot Thomas Roche in asking "Who the fuck is Philip Mond and why does he dress his women like insects?"
Get your daily dose of creepy-crawlies with our "Insexts" screencap gallery after the jump.
