In most other cities, a guy who runs around town photographing pairs of anthropomorphized panties in public would be reason to call the police. In San Francisco, however, it's art—or at least an excuse for our own Violet Blue to interview self-described "tour guide to wayward underpants" Sean Kelly for her latest column in the San Francisco Chronicle, where the guerilla lingerie activist describes his creative process: "Two-dimensional puppets, which evolved out of cheap women's underpants with black and white felt eyes, pose for pics around town. Their names are Cyclops, Bruiser, Red, Calico and Jelly. They pose. I snap and post." Which just goes to prove once again why we love San Francisco so much. (And that we really don't know as much about art as we thought we did.)
