BREAKING! Mary Carey: Out of the Running

It seems like just this morning that Mary Carey was trading punches with the Governator and his other opponents for the right the be Lord of California. (Oh, wait ... it was this morning.) Now comes word out of the Golden State that the bubbly porn babe and wannabe elected official is dropping of the governor's race—a mere two weeks before election day—in order to be with her mother, who is in a hospital in Florida. Considering that Carey isn't officially on the ballot and is relying on the greatest write-in vote in recorded history, the actual damage to her campaign may be negligible—you can still add her name when you go to the polls. But today's news means she just won't be out there shaking, um ... hands or kissing, er ... babies. But maybe it's just as well—we doubt the good people of California are ready to have an actor with limited talent and a big chest to run the fifth largest economy in the world. Right?
