Even if the description of her work on this portfolio site didn't inform you from the outset that digital artist Victoria Van Dyke concerns herself with "ideas of cannibalism, snakes, guns, religion, sexuality and censorship", you wouldn't have any problem figuring out where her interests lie after seeing images like the digital mashup of a model with a gun poised near her lips and cum dripping down her face, or the one captioned "I Want To Be An Amazon" where she's posing topless with a hand saw pressed against her right breast. But what to make of her psychedelic collage pieces (like this one, which now has pride of place on our computer desktop) which dissect vintage pinups, 70s porn stills, and various nude models and disembodied body parts through trippy kaleidoscopic mirror effects? Either she's trying to tell us something about the malleability and objectification of the human figure through pornography, or she took some really good drugs at some point in her career and is just having a grand old time with her copy of Photoshop. Either way, it's the kind of artistic expression we can definitely appreciate.
