Dr. Sketchy’s Rainy Day Coloring Book Release Party

Go-go girls! Burlesque dancers! A nude transvestite cake! How else would you celebrate your birthday? That's just some of what Fleshbot Crush Object™ Molly Crabapple gathered together Wednesday night for the one-year anniversary of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School and the release of the new companion volume Dr. Sketchy's Rainy Day Coloring Book, co-authored by her and John Leavitt. Fleshbot was on the scene at The Slipper Room on New York's Lower East Side, and brought Gawker Media heavies Nikola Tamindzic and Richard Blakeley along to capture the all the glittery goings-on for you. Thought it was technically a book release party, it wasn't your typical gathering of publishing types all standing around eating cheese—it was a full-on sexy show with live music, dancing girls (and guys), contests, prizes, plus a few hundred close personal friends, all of it hosted by The World Famous *BOB*. The highlights contained in this clip don't begin to do it all justice, but like much of the crowd in attendance, you may feel slightly dazed when it's over.

As an added bonus, here's a special go-go performance by the delightfully sweaty Lady J, who worked hard to keep the masses entertained. For the record, we do not think you look like a slut. (Not that we would judge her any less if she did.)
