Pulpo: Porn With Soul

With their first film "Black Worm" already available and a second, "Dolores of My Heart", in post production, Pulpo Inc. is a production company from Argentina whose product and promotions design at their AVN Expo booth was one of the few we encountered in Las Vegas last week that didn't make our brains bleed—though maybe that's the wrong way to put it, since their movies do have a sort of film noir gangster vibe about them. Suffice to say that there were no hot pink clad enhanced boobie-sporting blondes at their booth, just a group of friendly Argentinians with cool hair. Says Pulpo director Candela, "I used to work at a large media conglomerate, but they only let me answer the phones, and I wanted to direct." Which is exactly what she's doing now, while her husband is responsible for all the design and promotional material. We can definitely say we'll be watching the rest of thair career development very closely.- AR
