AVN Awards 2007: “Droppin’ Loads!”

Despite certain of our colleagues' seeming lack of enjoyment of the AVN Awards (oh, but will they be back trolling for extra-long sheet-hookers to snort lines off of next year? Yes!), I was pleasantly surprised with how the show reduced the instances of cringitude from last year's (x) to this year's (x-5).

People like Nick Manning (seen here with former Hustler contract lady Jessica Jaymes, already experienced with people named Nick) intoned his famous-in-the-industry catchphrase "Droppin' Loads!" several times for red carpet cameras and onstage, cracking up every time at how silly it was. As this event grows bigger and more expensive, it would be Mandalay-mentable to forget that porn is supposed to be fun and not taken so seriously, despite its recent proximity to broody fare like "Corruption" and joy vacuums like Gene Simmons (who presented an award for something, but we were too busy enjoying our lives to pay attention). - GP
