Porn Valley Dispatch: Adultcon Returns

We may be going out on a limb here, but Adultcon, the semi-annual porn convention coming to the L.A. Convention Center this weekend, has a certain charm. Roving bands of porn fans, having already paid $35 to get in, approach the starlets who've rented booths with "Whaddaya got for free?" (Smart starlets bring bouncers; "People get grabby," said Mika Tan). If the AVN Expo is an oxygen-supplied, brightly-lit spectacle put on at least partially for the benefit of AVN's sponsors, and provides a certain buffer zone between the talent and their fans, Adultcon is all about bringing the audience face-to-face or at the very least face-to-security-guy's-hand with its favorite stars. Despite the sizable giftbag presented with admission, Adultcon is just. a little bit. sleazy. But shouldn't a porn convention be sleazy?

Scheduled to attend are Sunny Lane, Anastasia Pierce, Jack Lawrence, Tera Patrick, Sophie Dee, and Aiden Starr, among dozens of others. News is that Gina Lynn, advertised on several billboards as attending, never agreed to. But that's part of the charm. - GP
