A frustrated reader recently wrote to us to ask "What happened to DailyMotion?" Like us, he was a fan of this video sharing site because they have a big, easy to use playe—and unlike certain other billion-dollar outfits, they didn't have so much of a problem with the sex and nudity. But it looks like DailyMotion has completely removed their "Sexy" channel from the website and searches for terms like "naked" and "nude" come up empty, while a search for "sex" turns up a selection of PG-rated videos that aren't especially sexy. Worst of all, many of the videos we've linked to in the past have been flagged as explicit and cannot be seen without going to the site and signing up for an account. (Strangely, it says the videos have been "removed due to a Terms of Service violation," but they magically reappear after logging in. Still, good luck finding them.) So what's the deal? We assumed that since the people behind the site are French they'd continue to be cool with the naked stuff and prosper as the fun alternative to stuffy old YouTube, but instead they've gone down the safe and comforting path of Censorship Alley, a dull thoroughfare from which no boobs escape. It's looks like there won't be much motion in that ocean anymore.
