Anyone who's spent any length amount of time looking for actual or virtual companionship online knows that there's a difference between the way things are measured on the interweb and the way they're measured online. (Back in the day we called such stats "AOL inches"; we're sure the kids are calling them something else these days. But you know what we mean.)
