Remembering “Long Dong Silver”

It's unsettling that Clarence Thomas is currently revisiting the so-called "high-tech lynching" that brought him to the Supreme Court via a multimillion dollar book deal and accompanying multimdeia book tour. So after reading the recent Frank Rich column that rips Uncle Tom a new one (um, we're allowed to call him that), maybe it's time to step back into porn history for another look at the title that took center stage in Anita Hill's sexual harassment complaints against Thomas.

Chicago-based Bijou World, the distributor of classic 70s and 80s porn titles and operator of the legendary movie theater, has reissued "Long Dong Silver", the cult favorite pseudo-documentary based on the life the performer who Thomas was so smitten by. There's not much by way of hardcore action, though size queens everywhere (including Thomas, apparently) might find it an interesting addition to their porn collections—and when was the last time you spent ten bucks on a porn flick that was a part of our nation's judicial history?
