Slava Mogutin’s New York City Go-Go Diary

Berlin-based homostyle magazine Manner Aktuell devotes its November 2007 issue all things Gay New York City, and along with the usual suspects (hello again, Michael Lucas!) there's an inspired feature on NYC's go-go boy underground by expat artist and manflesh connoisseur Slava Mogutin. But don't expect to see any of those too-perfect specimens who strut their stuff at 20 or Splash; Mogutin focuses his lens on some of the freakier fare seen at places like Escuelita and the now-shuttered (but-soon-to-be-reopened) Mr. Black. It's all enough to make us want to be a tourist in our own home town.
