America Gains Ground In The Condom Ad Race

Not so long ago, Trojan ads were relegated to the back pages of men's magazines, and Dothan, Alabama—you know, the condom capital of the world—wasn't even mentioned in polite conversation. Today, however, you can't swing your manlybits without hitting at least half a dozen ads in print, broadcast, and web form. That said, judging from this collection of condom commercials from around the world, we here in the States have got a ways to go if we're going to catch up with, say, Kenya. Or Belgium. Or, you know, a lot of other places. Pay particular attention to the gadjetastic condom featured in the South African ad, which has apparently had a major impact on HIV seroconversion rates. Do we have that technology yet? After all, they're way ahead of us on other fronts ...
