There's probably some serious artistic and/or political meaning behind Xu Yong's photos: maybe the naked woman with the flag is a symbol of China, and the men in suits represent the capitalist forces that she's overcoming, or leading into battle? (Art appreciation was never really our strong suit, to say nothing about politics.) Appreciation of gorgeous naked women, on the other hand ... well, that was practically our major in college. So we're pretty fond of his work and look forward to seeing more sometime, even if we are a little fuzzy on what it's all about and don't understand whether there's supposed to be a serious message involved. But aren't nude models in blonde glamour wigs and high heels a cause we can all rally behind anyway?
