Can Sarah Michelle Gellar Do Porn?

We always found Sarah Michelle Gellar to be a rather curious case study of Hollywood babery. Obviously, she will never escape the clutches of Buffy Summers, the Vampire Slayer who latched on to her neck and will never let go, but despite the obvious typecasting complications she did manage to sneak in the occasional film role that moved her ever so slightly away from the Hellmouth. However, like another friend of ours with resumes of hotness and acting that are both complicated by a geeky good girl reputation, we keep wondering: is she ever going to the next level on either front?

Despite her well-documented lesbian tendencies, Sarah's career has mostly been built on a quirky, "girl next door who you could almost land if she's wasn't busy dropping demon-killing one-liners" charm. But what about the girl who made thousands of boys squirm in their seats as she promised them they could "put it anywhere"? The last couple years have seen her flying under the radar where she may or may not still be married to an invisible former teen star, but she may soon have three movies simultaneously competeing for your dollar, including the much talked about, but long overdue "Southland Tales" where, of course, she plays a porn star.

Is the older, wiser Sarah ready, willing or able to win us over with raw sex appeal? Or become an actress worthy of playing more than just comic book characters? Her new Maxim cover shoot seems to have the first part down, but we'll have to wait for the reviews to answer the latter.
