The music video for "Birthday Girl," the new single from The Roots, plays out like a lot of other Sasha Grey movies. But we can't escape this uneasy feeling that something is missing. All the pieces are in place—the birthday celebration, pretty girlfriends, a room full of dudes, cake—but they just don't seem to add up properly when you consider what typically happens at one of her shindigs. This is the second time this year that Sasha has found herself the muse of a big time rock band, but we hope that Crush Object Numero Uno isn't looking to trade in her porn career for one as a music video vixen. Not that we mind seeing her as the occasional mainstream eye candy, but seriously Sasha ... please don't quit your day job.
