All Fun and Games Until Someone Breaks a Penis

While there are some out there who say great sex will always lead to injury, they really just mean maybe a scratch or two on the back, maybe a skinned knee, or at worse, a bump on the top of your head. What they don't mean is you ending up in the ER with a broken penis. It happens, and thanks to a Brazilian study in Advances in Urology, a team of scientists have found the three positions most likely to cause a penile fracture.

Now, I know this might be a little scary and it might not deter anyone from doing these positions, but penis injuries are kind of a big deal (pun intended) - these types of injuries can lead to permanent penis disfigurement... man, that was a tough one to type.  So, let's just get this over with - here are the three positions most likely to lead to snap your twig:

Cowgirl

According to the study, this is position causes problems because the woman is unlikely to notice any problems and just keeps going until the man screams out in pain. And I'm sure one could say that might not even stop some people.

Doggy Style

You probably could have guessed that doggy style would be on this list. There's a lot of thrusting going on and one wrong stroke can lead to pain.

Missionary

I know, right?!? You would think this would be the safest of all positions, alas, 21 percent of penis fractures come in the missionary position. Once again, it as a lot to do with thrusting.

Just remember: Sex is supposed to be fun, and it's all fun and games until someone breaks a penis. So, be careful when you are between the sheets. There's nothing wrong with taking it nice and slow.
