From Comic to Movies, “Sin City” Now Heads to the TV

TV/MOVIES

The Movies Set the "Sin City" Standard

For all the comic book - I'm sorry, graphic novel - nerds out there, Sin City is a title that is for sure in your collection. And while we may have feared the transition from the page to the big screen, the 2005 film Sin City lived up to the hype. Now it would seem that the magic is about to leap off the page once again, but this time on the small screen.

Yep, the Weinstein brothers have teamed up with writer Glen Mazzara (The Shield, The Walking Dead) to bring this world of sin, violence, and nudity to life as a series. And now before you get all excited about seeing Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, or even Eva Green, it would seem that they aren't pulling character or stories from the source material:

Deadline reports that the series is being pitched as a "far departure from the films, introducing original characters and timelines within the Sin City universe."

I know, I'm kind of bummed too, but as long as they capture the essence of comics - I mean, graphic novel - I think we'll okay. I mean, as long as it's on a streaming service. Sin City the television series needs to chalk full of great nudity. I love Jessica Alba as much as the next person, but her character Nancy is pretty much topless all the time in the comic. That's what they need to bring to the series. That and everything else, but mostly the nudity.

So, let's all cross our fingers that Sin City the TV show will live to the standards that Sin City and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) have already set.

Check out all the great nudity from Sin City and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For over at Mr. Skin.
