Hold Onto Your Butts: VR Porn for Ladies Is Here!

Free. VR. Porn. For Laaaaadies. Oh my god y'all, it's here. Truthfully, Wankzvr had some of this porn for free back in November, but there is now more of it at a better quality. And I love it. 

I should note here that I don't think this is at all just for women - there is plenty of boob grabbing and great looks at the girls' bodies in these, and though a guy might not be placing himself in the action as he would with a male VR scene, it's not terribly different from a regular ol' porn scene. (Also very valuable in the "what women want" vein, so, you know.)

In an interview with Broadly this week, Bradley Phillips of Pimproll (which owns WankzVR) talked more extensively about the development of VR porn for women, specifically how they started getting the content right. Though they initially went the softcore, "romantic" route, they quickly realized women like it hardcore, too. 

"When our female users started openly giving us a lot of feedback, they said 'That's really not what we're looking for,'" Phillips said in the interview. "Men and women are looking for virtually the same thing, but each is looking for themselves to be the centerpiece of the content." 

"It has become evident that what we were doing wasn't enough. We were giving women our idea of what they wanted, as opposed to doing the homework into what makes them happy."

Yes! This all makes me so happy. I watched this video first, predominately because Damon Dice looks a lot like my boyfriend, and it was truly magical. (I actually watched it twice.) There are definitely still a few kinks to work out - despite the magic of VR goggles, the view can get a little distorted and the bodies slightly warped. Phillips had a very interesting insight quoted in the November Vocativ article, though: 

“A lot of adult content in the past has been produced entirely based on fantasy scenarios that are not realistic. Whereas, when it comes to virtual reality porn, we get more requests for what we call a ‘girlfriend experience’ than any other scene - a girlfriend experience is basically a virtual date with a porn star.” 

Based on available content, this seems to be true for all genders and provides an interesting way to diversify our porn choices. I think all types of porn have their individual purposes, but this is pretty nifty in terms of connecting us into our sex lives.
