Actress/stand-up comedian Jillie Reil is the new product educator who tours the country for Wicked Sensual Care, a company that makes a ton of great quality lubes and other sexual enhancement products. Here's what she has to say about being "The Lube Lady" and what advice she has to offer on the use of lube.

How did your career in comedy/acting morph into you becoming a Wicked Sensual Care lube educator?

"I was looking for a career where I could integrate my love of connecting with an audience. When the position at Wicked came about, I was thrilled over the idea of presenting sexual health and wellness products to retailers as well as consumers as a good portion of my comedy involves sex and relationships. Plus, comedy is fun and this job, albeit no joke, is a lot of fun!"

You have been in some fun movies but my favorite of yours is the horror movie "The Devil's Dozen". What do you most remember of being on set with Eric Roberts and Jeremy London?

"I wish I could tell you something special about being on set with these guys, but none of my scenes involved Eric and Jeremy [who] could never get my name right...and I might have died after a cleavage shot and a few words . . . LOL. I can tell you that my most favorite experience in acting was working with Jerry Zucker (director of 'Airplane!', 'The Naked Gun' and many other greats) on a sketch comedy pilot for TBS (although shelved) as a porn star concerned about the national debt. It was a hilarious premise, and he was a first class man to work with that day. I cherish the experience, and I can't think of anything more flattering than being typecast as an adult actress. Wicked has some seriously intelligent, HOT women!"

What have you enjoyed most about touring the country for Wicked Sensual Care?

"Besides the gypsy in me that loves to see new cities, I have especially enjoyed interactions with consumers that have felt safe to ask me questions about sexual health and wellness. I get a lot of people just wanting permission to feel safe and unjudged to try something new with their partners that might add to their bond as a couple. I also get a lot of individuals that are exploring their independence and products for solo play. When I am able to empower them with quality products to enrich their lives and experiences, I feel like I've shared a little bit of 'happy'. After all, people with positive sexual experiences are going to be happier people...world peace, if you will."

What do you think makes Wicked's lube different from other ones out there on the market?

"I could go on . . . [about how ]even if I didn't work for Wicked it's hands down the best. When Wicked sets out to do something, they don't do it simply just to do it, they do it better. Our entire line was developed by an expert from the skin care industry, Carrie Smith. From the packaging to the quality of ingredients, you can see her innovative influence on this line. It's different. Wicked addressed all of the negative connotations people typically associate with lube, i.e. sticky, tacky, greasy, a lingering feeling, bad taste, bad mouth feel, etc. as well as adding some unique positives: i.e. olive leaf extract that inhibits the spreading of bacteria. In my trainings and consumer events, I insist people touch and taste. Every single time, I see how in awe people are of its amazing feeling, taste, rinsability, etc."

Of all of the products in the line, what is your personal go-to product?

"I'm a super fair, freckle-faced girl so it's no surprise I'm sensitive. Aqua Sensitive is my favorite, because in addition to all the wonderful qualities of Aqua, it's glycerin free, hypoallergenic and PH controlled. It's super light, but still has a fantastic glide as it mimics a woman's natural lubrication . . . and most importantly, it doesn't throw off a woman's pH. Many times a pH imbalance is the problem when a woman has issues with certain lubes. It’s often times the culprit when she says she can't use lube and if she does, it's off to the doctor!"

What do you think that people most assume about lube that just isn't true?

"So many men say, 'Spit works just fine.' That statement drives me nutty! Even a completely healthy person of any age with no physical or psychological issues can suffer chafing or micro tears (tiny little tears) from sex. Lube also helps to prevent condoms from breaking. Plus, lube just makes everything better; it enhances the experience much like candles (and maybe a box of Chardonnay for me)."

How has being "The Lube Lady" changed your world/your career in stand-up?

"I got married a few years back, and even though to a slightly younger man (he never lets me forget), it was more difficult for me to develop jokes about being a cougar in relationships and dating. My jokes are very real and personal, so they had to evolve. Needless to say, this career has been a gold mine of material. Although, I will tell you that the staff in the retail stores, being on the front lines, have the BEST stories."

What product do you find yourself recommending the most?

"Given I use Aqua Sensitive the most, of course I recommend that one, but honestly, it depends on my audience. Wicked has really developed a thoughtful line . . . not too many products, rather just enough to address people's wants and needs. I will always tell people that they MUST taste the flavors. Wicked has nailed it! There aren't any other flavors out there that are such unique, adult flavors with no aftertaste (our flavors are is sweetened with stevia, so zero calories, safe for diabetics, and enhanced saliva production). Wicked flavors do not leave you feeling like you still have lube on your tongue. I can't tell you how many people have shared with me that they've used our lubes to sweeten their coffee or as a flavor topping . . . they're simply that GOOD. Aqua Salted Caramel is our No.1 selling flavor, and we have six others that are just as mouth-watering."

What is coming up for you as The Lube Lady?

"This is our busy season. I'm taking this show on the road every week until the holidays, so I'll be in quite a few cities throughout the U.S. spreading the word about Wicked Sensual Care. We believe education is key; the more you know about what a special product line it is, the better you can sell Wicked. It’s so fulfilling to see retail staff discover it and really get behind it the way we do, because they truly love Wicked, not because we tell them to love Wicked. We also have some great product information videos with yours truly coming out soon...stay tuned for which hair color I don. Otherwise, I've been performing at The Ice House in Pasadena lately, and you may catch me there on occasion when I'm in town sharing tales from 'The Lube Lady'."

Is there anything you would like to say to the avid lube consumers here at Fleshbot?

"Smart is sexy. Keep educating yourself with forums such as Fleshbot and try things for yourself. The more you know, the better your experiences. You need to discover what works best for you. Oh, and being Wicked has never felt so good. Okay, that might be our tag line, but I love it, and it’s the only thing about us that sticks (pun intended)!"
