Love Makes Us Do the Strangest Things
In my column Only in Florida, I'll be taking you down to the Sunshine State for the latest and greatest sex stories that can only be found in the craziest state in the union.
We can all agree that love can make us do crazy things. And when we love someone and want them to know we love them, we can do even crazier things. Be it writing love letters or poems to that special someone. Maybe you've sent them a dozen roses every day for a week or maybe you’ve copied the most iconic way to show someone you love them: by standing under a window with a boombox above your head blaring Peter Gabriel’s classic “In Your Eyes”, but we’ve all done crazy stuff when we were in love.
Take Florida resident Tavoris A. Grant. He found love in his apartment complex and expressed his unrequited feelings the only way he knew how: by masturbating by her window. At first Grant attempted to remove the identified victim’s window screen, most likely so she could have a clearer view of his love, but after she told him to go away, Grant couldn’t contain his love anymore.
The victim told officers Grant told her he loved her several times, exposed his genitals and began masturbating while sticking his tongue out at her. She said he ejaculated on her sidewalk and then walked away.
But it would appear that Cupid’s arrow hit Grant a few more times with other people in the apartment complex.
Two days later, Grant was chased into an apartment unit after he was spotted peeking into another apartment. All three tenants in the apartment were detained and taken for a lineup, which is when the victim was able to point out Grant as the culprit.
Love, it’s such a funny thing. It can make the most sane of us go crazy. Now that Grant has been arrested, maybe he’ll find someone to love in prison.
