A Butt Plug of One’s Dreams: A Conversation with an Etsy Seller

I stumbled across this in my daily online doings and heard about these being featured on Comedy Central's @midnight. Well, I had to know the story behind (heh) the creation of magic 8 ball ass plugs in either stainless steel or silicone being sold on Etsy. As I can tell you at this very minute, it is a damn fine ass plug. (I am standing as I write this—the eight ball just does not allow for sitting.) He also makes custom butt plugs, so if you can dream it, you can have it up your ass. Jesse Lindsay is the man responsible for the awesome of these, and I checked in with him to get some answers for what he was thinking in creating these.

So how did you come up with the idea to make these custom butt plugs?

"Awhile back, I was working as a bouncer at a strip club here in Portland around the time butt plugs started trending among the dancers. A few of us were killing time on a slow day and laughing about variations of butt plugs that we would like to see, and at some point I suggested a "magic 8 ball style one" and everyone fell out laughing. A few days later, I made a set of prototypes and they where a huge hit! So I kept making them randomly as gag gifts, on commission or just because it was funny. The dancers would charge customers per question and made a bunch of money at what we called 'twerking a fortune.'"

What materials do you make your plugs with?

"MAGIC!!"

How long have you been making these plugs?

"Off and on for a few months I guess, I have been making custom plugs, fantasy ones, a few tails and REALLY random stuff for quite a while now, but the fortune-telling ones are kinda new. Before all this, we were making light-up dildo sabers and post apocalyptic strap-ons, for business as well as pleasure."

How has the reception on Etsy been to your plugs?

"Tremendous. I wound up selling out within a few days of launching them. Within three days, the shop got shown on Comedy Central, on a show called @midnight, which was mind blowing to watch happen."

What is the most unusual/fun/cool plug that you have made for a customer?

"I would say the guy who wanted his mom's face in it, or any of the people who ask for pictures of their cats. That's happened way more than I feel is OK."
