Tumblr Porn is the New IT Thing for Women?

I am totally enamored by tumblr porn. Honestly, if I didn’t have to write this article, I would be infinite scrolling tumblr porn. I’ve let regular porn take the back seat because with tumblr porn, I can curate my own experience that goes beyond being ‘straight’, ‘lesbian’, or whatever box you have to check in regular porn. 

The little GIFs show me just enough to allow the imagination to take over. And I can skip the fake dialogue and bad acting and go straight to the bits that are more interesting. Specifically little bits and pieces that I find erotic, which might not necessarily be a hard core pounding scene. For instance, this little GIF below:

It sparks my imagination and ignites something in me that regular porn doesn’t allow. And that ‘something’ is erotic, sensual and alive. Ok, it’s not that regular porn doesn’t ‘allow’ these things, but I find it harder to feel erotic and sensual watching regular porn. Regular porn just gets me horny and I want to get off. Tumblr porn turns me on, and wakes me up. And yeah sure I want to get off, but it’s not overshadowed by my concern for the porn actress (which is the case of many porns that I watch). It also allows me to zero in on acts that really turn me on. And since it loops, I can watch it over and over again.

I’m not alone in this either. More and more women are slowly turning to tumblr porn as their sole source of porntertainment. 

A quick poll of my girlfriends and almost half of them (the ones who admit to watching porn) use tumblr porn as their go to entertainment. I’m rather proud that I know so many horny ladies. Even the men are getting in on it. So far every guy I’ve showed my tumblr porn has become a convert. It would seem that perhaps even men might just be over porn too? Or maybe that they too appreciate the power of the imagination. First it always starts with, “Oh I wish it was longer!” and then after a while, they get into the fact that it’s just 10 seconds long and then your imagination takes over.

I’m sure not everyone is a convert, or that this is going to take over regular porn, but I am certainly enjoying the fact that women (and men) can now explore their sexuality in a way that is pleasing and ethical and without judgement.
