Twenty Questions with Hot Porno Newbie Kassondra Raine

PORNSTARS

Kassondra Raine Is Red Hot in Third Degree's "Gingeracial"

Kassondra Raine is new to porn and seriously...wow, she is awesome.  She appears in Third Degree Films' "Gingeracial" directed by AVN Hall of Famer Mike Quasar where she does her first ever interracial scene.  Raine is smart, sexy and I can't wait to see where her porn journey takes her.  Here are her answers to twenty questions.

1. What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

I was a sweet little angel! Ha ha! No really, I was. I always got good grades, took honors classes, and graduated with a 3.8 GPA and the Millennium Scholarship to go to UNLV. I’ve always been shy and socially awkward to an extreme, so I never had many friends. Of course, I liked it that way. Even as early as elementary school I was a loner, and spent most of my time lost in my own thoughts or with my nose buried in a book. My best friends were David Icke, Anne Rice, George Orwell, Chuck Palahniuk, and Hunter S. Thompson. Internally, I was a rebel - anti-establishment, deeply dissatisfied with society, and in search of some type of purpose, meaning, or solution. Externally I was the opposite, meek and acquiescent. I had one close girl friend at school. She was very outgoing and open sexually, which is what drew me to her. We balanced each other. I had a boyfriend sophomore and junior year, but he was very jealous and controlling. Monogamy started to make less and less sense to me, and when my best friend introduced me to the 25 year old singer of her boyfriend’s band, who was in an open marriage at the time, I was fascinated and infatuated. I left my boyfriend, he left his wife, and we have been together ever since. Senior year was fun! Lots of sex, music, drugs, and partying. I guess I was making up for all those years of being a shut-in little angel. Ha ha maybe I still am!

2. Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

Yes, I was definitely a porn fan. For a long time, I only liked to watch the more expensive porn movies that have plot and dialogue. I loved Hercules, Flashpoint, Space Nuts, Dream Quest, The New Devil in Miss Jones, etc.. My boyfriend and I used to have “porn night” – the two of us would get really drunk together while chatting and watching porn and then have sex for hours. They were our own little private sex parties. Sometimes we invite friends to porn night, which is definitely fun too! I loved Evan Stone, Randy Spears, Jenna Jameson, and Jesse Jane.

3. What do you think shaped you into the hardcore performer you are known for being?

Well this is going to sound odd, but I have to give some credit to my grandmother for that. I grew up with her, and she did her very best to make me into a good little house wife. Basically, I was taught that my purpose in life was to be subservient to my husband, to cook, clean and reproduce. In an effort to protect and educate me, she taught me about rape, pedophilia, incest, and the evils of the world at a very early age. Everyone is taught gender roles, but I was given a somewhat medieval version of them. This depressed me deeply, and drove me to question and rebel against my role as a female. I refused to accept that sex was not meant to be pleasurable for me, that it only served to please men, and I refused to accept that there was no more to men than the desire for sex and ownership of women. I associated those perspectives of gender and sexuality with religion, and I had already rejected religion as insane when I was a kid. I saw that (generally) when men have sex, they are congratulated and they receive a boost in social status. When women have sex, they are called sluts and whores and receive a demotion in social status. This double-standard pissed me off, so I decided I was going to fuck for fun, the same way men do, and not let any of the silly name calling make me feel bad or guilty about being a woman who enjoys sex. After my relationship with my boyfriend in high school ended, I rejected the morality of monogamy. I thought of him as my soul-mate, I loved him more than I loved my own life, and yet I still found myself attracted to other people. So I knew that my attraction to others did not mean that I didn’t love the person I was with, as I had been taught. This understanding also helped free me to explore and enjoy my sexuality. I’m on a mission to remove the guilt and negativity that I have been taught to attach to sex, and to help and encourage others to do the same.

4. What/who do you want to do on camera that you haven’t done yet?

I’ve never had a b/b/g threesome on camera, that would be fun! Well…not officially anyways. One time, I was shooting a scene at a bowling alley with two guys and another girl. It was really fun; we had the whole place to ourselves. The sex scene was paired up – basically, two couples having sex next to each other. But the other lady was very inexperienced and awkward, and when it came time for the cum shots at the end, we had to take a break because her partner was having a difficult time reaching climax. Of course, I was very happy to help! I ended up having an unscripted short but hot threesome with both guys during our little break. He had no problem cumming after that, ha ha! Anyways, that was too short lived; I’d like the full experience. Also, I’ve never done bondage before, either in my private life or on camera. That is something that intrigues me to try out. As far as who I would like to do, I really couldn’t say… Not knowing who I might be working with next is part of the fun for me. There have been times when, after meeting my scene partner, I think that he isn’t “my type” of guy and that I’m not going to really enjoy the scene, but it ended up being incredibly hot and intense. I’ve also had the opposite experience where I’m really attracted to my partner and expect the scene to be crazy hot, but then the chemistry isn’t what I expected it to be. I guess I’ve learned that I’m still learning; I thought I had some limited type of guy or experience that I liked, but I was wrong. So that has become really fun for me, I love being surprised.

5. Who is your favorite male/female performer to work with and why?

Ooh, playing favorites, ok… Well I have only worked with him once, but wow did I have an awesome time with Steven St.Croix! I worked with him on the film “In the Flesh” for Girlfriends Films, and I have to admit I have a bit of a crush on him now. The “why” part of the question is a bit harder to answer. For me, that scene was one where there was this unexpected intense chemistry. He was a little more rough at times throughout the scene than I am used to, which was surprisingly hot for me. And I don’t know if it was the size, shape, or curve of it, but damn his cock felt amazing! Whether it was a physical difference or just something about him personally, I don’t know, but I definitely enjoyed myself. I also did some really hot scenes with Alec Knight and Ramon Nomar, I can’t leave them out! Actually, all three of those scenes were directed by B.Skow for Girlfriends Films. Unfortunately, I have only done two g/g scenes! Out of those, I would say my favorite was Jillian Janson; she is one very beautiful and sexy lady! I would like to do a g/g scene with another natural redhead. I don’t know if it’s just because I am one, but I have a bit of a redhead fetish too!

6. You seem to really love your fans, and you talk to them a lot on Twitter. Tell me how having this fan base has changed your life.
There is a good portion of my fan base on Twitter that has stuck with me since my webcam days on Streamate. I did that for two years before getting into porn, and I’m lucky to have made friends on there who still chat with me and want to know how I’m doing. These gentlemen definitely helped change my life, helped change me personally. As I mentioned before, I used to be painfully shy and quiet. Since childhood I have enjoyed being a silent observer. As a kid, I would hide under tables and in cabinets and sit there in silence for hours, just listening to adult conversations. This quiet observation of people continued into my teens and twenties, and throughout my life I developed more and more anxiety in social situations. My webcam friends helped me so much! I used to despise being the center of attention, but webcam forced me to deal with being just that. I started developing online friendships with guys who enjoyed my quirky personality and unusual topics of conversation. They helped give me confidence in myself, and I know I wouldn’t be doing porn today if it weren’t for them and those experiences. I am grateful to all of my fans, and so happy that they enjoy my work! It means a lot to me to be able to bring any kind of pleasure or happiness to people, even if it is as simple as an orgasm. I feel like I’ve contributed something positive, and that is what I have always wanted to do.

7. What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

I would definitely have to say that “doggie style” is my favorite. Fast, hard, and deep is what does it for me, and all of those things are maximized by that position. Of course, I love many different positions. They all feel different to me at different times and with different partners, so I never really know what I’m going to enjoy the most. I’ve found it’s best to not have so many preconceived ideas of what my favorites are or what I like most, because that is always changing and expanding…like the universe. As above, so below.

8. What did you enjoy most about being directed by Mike Quasar?

I love working with Mike! I try not to play favorites, but I have to admit Mike is one of my favorites. He directed the very first scene I ever shot. I arrived on set early, and Mike was still filming the scene before mine. Apparently the girl was fairly new and made it abundantly clear that she didn’t even want to be there, so they were having somewhat of a hard time. I was sitting in the living room waiting for them to finish, and Mike came out of the back bedroom singing Adam Sandler’s “Somebody Kill Me Please” song from the movie The Wedding Singer. I instantly knew we were going to be friends. I think my favorite thing about Mike is how candid he is. In my experience, he always says what is on his mind, and I deeply enjoy that kind of straightforward honesty. It’s a virtue, in my opinion, that doesn’t receive nearly enough credit in society. Also, Mike is hilarious! It is impossible to not have a good time while working with him. And it’s great how involved he gets in his work as well. I love when he is excited about setting up his shadow box to get the lighting just right, or creating the perfect lens flare...or enthusiastically trying to explain to me what the hell a lens flare is. He gets creative because he cares about how his pictures and videos come out, and you can see that in the quality of his work. I love Mike.

9. What do you think your fans would be most surprised to learn about you?

Hmmm…that’s a hard one. Well my webcam friends are familiar with my interests and perspectives, but fans who only know me through porn would probably be surprised that, besides being a very sexual person, I’m also very thoughtful. I love psychology, sociology, and philosophy, not to mention conspiracy “theory.” Since childhood, I’ve been on a passionate mission to understand people, society, spirituality, and the deepest meaning and purpose of life. I have always valued and sought ultimate Truth. I love the book The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot. He explains the meanings and implications of quantum physics in a way that anyone can understand and, in my opinion, merges the gap between religion, metaphysics, and science. I think Bill Hicks, one of my favorite comedians, summed it up the best when he said, “All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. We are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is just a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.”

10. What are the best things about being a porn star?

Umm, all of them?! I love what I do. It isn’t like having a job; I associate the concept of a “job” with being miserable and spending vast amounts of time doing things I’d rather not ever have to do. Instead, I get paid to have fun. How much better can it get than that? I get to travel (and as much as I love Las Vegas, it is great to get out of here sometimes), I go hang out in beautiful mansions which often have very cool art, I meet fun new people, and I have awesome sex with hot guys. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely stresses and downsides sometimes, but they are more than worthwhile. I feel lucky to do what I do. It baffles me when people look down on me or feel bad for me because I’m in porn. It just goes to show how very different perception can be from reality.

11. What do you want to do most with your time in the adult industry?

More than anything, I want to have fun and make movies that are hot because they’re real, the energy is real and the sex is real. There have been so many times that I have been watching porn and had to change the scene or switch to a different movie because it seemed obvious to me that the girl wasn’t truly into it. For me, that is a total turn-off and it ruins my enjoyment of the scene. I’m not here to become a celebrity, I’m not here to get rich quick. It’s not that I’m opposed to those things, but I don’t think they should be the motivating factor for choosing a career in the adult industry. Those drives do not create quality scenes. So, I would say that I’m here to be the change I want to see in porn.

12. How was working with Isiah Maxwell in “Gingeracial?”

Isiah Maxwell was my scene partner in “Gingeracial.” I had a great time! It was my very first “interracial” sexual experience in either my private life or on film, so I was excited and a little nervous, but Isiah was amazing and made the experience super hot. We got a chance to chat and get to know each other a little bit before the scene, which I love being able to do. It always helps build chemistry with whoever I’m going to work with, and makes the scene more exciting.

13. Who are your role models in porn and how/why do they inspire you?

Jenna Jameson has been very inspirational to me. The fact that we were both born and raised in Las Vegas and have similar views on sexuality makes me feel a resonance with her. After reading her book “How to Make Love Like a Pornstar,” I felt much more connected to her. I was very excited before leaving Las Vegas for my first trip to L.A. to shoot, but also very nervous. I was about to get on plane with a ticket purchased for me by a man I’d never met to go to a city I didn’t really know to do something I’d never done before. I was putting all my trust in total strangers, and a part of me was terrified for my own safety. I was in the middle of reading Jenna’s book at the time, and of course it came with me on my trip. Just having it was comforting, reading her words and her experiences was comforting. It made me feel like I wasn’t alone. Honestly, her sharing her experiences of being raped really moved me. I have never experienced that, but I was told graphic stories about it as a little girl and I grew up with a deep fear of rape. It is something I’m proud to have changed in myself and overcome, and her story of experiencing and overcoming that was very inspirational and personal to me.

14. What do you think makes redheads so sexy?

Wow, I wish I knew! I have been asking myself that question for years. I tend to think of things in terms of energy; every color is a different vibration. So, perhaps red hair is a physical expression or manifestation of a certain energy that redheads uniquely share. Red/orange are the colors of the base/sacral chakras, which are supposedly the source of sexual energy. The color red is often associated with sex and sexuality. Maybe those things have something to do with it, maybe not. It’s an ongoing mystery!

15. What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

I would have to say “Lucy” would be my pick, I thought that movie was awesome!! Very fascinating concept. I like movies that get my mind going.

16. How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

I don’t really have a favorite, I love watching new stuff all the time. For a while I was really into Alex Tanner, but I’m not sure if she is working still. I met Kalina Ryu on the set of Gym Rats Orgy 4, she is really sexy and I love watching her scenes. I can tell she really has fun and loves what she does, which makes her scenes really hot.

17. Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low tech woman?

I definitely prefer the real thing! However, I do like little bullet vibrators. They are fun for a quickie. Hee hee.

18. If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be? Male and female choices.

I really like Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of “South Park.” They’re genius. Or maybe Stephen King, I love him. As for a female celebrity, that would have be Milla Jovovich. She is super sexy, I absolutely love her in The Fifth Element!

19. What is coming up for you?

I will be launching my personal website very soon. I’m really looking forward to that! There is a link in my Twitter bio where you can sign up to receive email updates about the site and when it will be up.

20. Is there anything you want to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?
