Ronda Rousey Wants To Be Known As A Champion, Not A Sex Symbol

Ronda Rousey is sexy. Sure, she’s got a beautiful face and an amazing body, but she’s sexy because she’s one of the toughest women on the planet. Strength, both mental and physical, is always sexy. While Rousey knows she has sex appeal, she wants to be known for her physical ability over to her looks, and that makes her even sexier.  

Rousey has won every UFC fight she’s been in, some of the time winning those fights in a matter of seconds. Recently Sports Illustrated not only put her on the cover of their Body Issue, but they also named her the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet.

"It makes me feel way better than if someone told me I was pretty," Rousey said. "If I was voted 'Sexiest Woman Alive,' it wouldn't make me nearly as happy."

Although she doesn’t shy away from anything, including talking about being a sex symbol.

"If you want exposure, you have to exposure yourself to some extent," she said during the interview. "I don't really see myself as a sex symbol because ever since people started calling me a sex symbol I haven't really had a lot of sex in my life. It's not really working out great for me."

If Rousey wants to be known for being a bad ass over being sexy, that’s fine with me. Mostly because being a bad ass is pretty damn sexy. Rousey heads back to the steps The Octagon in August for UFC 190.
