South Pole Penguins Are Some Filthy Motherfuckers

Over 100 years ago, George Murray Levick was one of the only survivors of a fatal expedition to the South Pole, and he stumbled upon something amazing. So amazing, in fact, that he kept it under wraps upon his return, likely due to the fear of what might happen were the perversions of Antarctic penguins to get out to the public. And yes, you did read that right. He squashed the secret sex lives of penguins.

According to The Mirror (link below), Levick witnessed things that cut him to the quick and even shook him to his core.

Levick blasted the “hooligan” behaviour he witnessed – which included male penguins:

• Having sex with dead females
• Abusing and bullying chicks
• Rape
• Males having sex with males          

Levick wrote his eye-opening observations in Greek, and printed just 100 copies of his penguin porn research, Sexual Habits of the Adélie Penguin, for limited use by scientists.

Really? The post-enlightenment world wasn't ready for tales of penguin rape and necrophilia? It also appeared as if these findings left Levick with a raging anger toward male penguins, perhaps enough to besmirch their good name at any cost.

Levick had a particular hatred for the single male penguins he watched.

The scientist with the 1910-13 Scott Antarctic Expedition wrote: “Half a dozen or more hang about the outskirts of the knolls, whose inhabitants they annoy by their constant acts of depravity.”

His X-rated paper was excluded from the official Scott report.

At any rate, if they do decide to further probe these penguin perversions, they should make sure not to hire Benedict Cumberbatch to narrate the documentary because the poor chap has a really difficult time with the word "penguin."
