THROWBACK THURSDAY–A Five Question Quickie with Sweetheart Video Director Melissa Monet

Melissa Monet has been performing, writing and directing in porn since 1994. She also has produced a documentary about being in adult called "Porn--It's A Living". Her current home is at Sweetheart Video/Mile High Media where she is making great all-girl stuff. IN the past, she has been nominated by AVN for writing (she shared a nomination with director Michael Raven for penning Wicked Pictures' "Killer Sex and Suicide Blondes" in 2005). Lately, she has garnered acting nods for her work in Sweet Sinner's "My Daughter's Boyfriend" in 2010 and for "River Rock Women's Prison" for Triangle Films in 2011. Monet is a strong, beautiful, talented woman and watching her grow as a creative person has been a treat.

1) So are you still performing or are you at a places where you are writing and directing solely?

I just did my first scene in over a year. I've always enjoyed being in front of the camera so I won't rule out doing more scenes, but I am trying to focus more on writing and directing.

2) What were your favorite scenes that you performed in your career?

I've been so lucky! I've been paired with a lot of great costars. Some of my favorite scenes were just about everything I did with Bruce 7 (we used to laugh so much and I miss him dearly). A lot of the scenes from the 90's were a blast, especially all the GG orgy ones. More recently most of the GG stuff has been pretty spectacular and it's always fun to work with James Deen (though it's been awhile).

3) What have you learned most from being a porn star?

The good...never judge a book by it's cover; there are some pretty smart, creative, interesting and gentle people in porn.

4) What do you have coming up with Sweetheart?

Waiting on a title for the next movie, but I have Girls Kissing Girls #15 being released this week. I'm pretty excited about that because kissing is so important to me...and I get to kiss Sinn Sage in it. I also have my 20th Anniversary scene in a movie I directed for Sweetheart; Lesbian Babysitters #12 should be out fairly soon and my scene is with ultra hottie Ava Delush!
