Nivea Just Wants The World To Know What Its Product Does For Boobs

EDITORIAL FEATURES

Australia is one strange, strange place. For a continent founded by a bunch of criminals, you'd think they would have a much more lax attitude about sex. But as I discovered in my interview with Aeryn Walker a few months back, it's actually a pretty puritanical place to live, not unlike America.

So what are the Aussies getting all upset about this time? No, it's not a new Paul Hogan or Yahoo Serious movie this time, it's the side of some woman's tit in an ad for Nivea. The ad above, as pointed out by The Daily Mail (link below) earned its way onto the list of the ten most controversial commercials thanks to that split second flash of the woman's boob being carefully pressed down by her elbows.

Unfortunately no specific complaints are documented in the article, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say this one is about protecting the children. Let's not forget, this is Australia where, up until forty one years ago, it was illegal to be gay. In fact, if you were a gay Tasmanian, you only received the right to be out in 1997. I think the children are well protected enough to handle part of this woman's tit. It's a nice tit. I don't see what the problem is.
