Drug Company Thinks Key To Female Orgasm Is Up The Nose

Squeals of glee have abounded at the recent announcement from Canadian drug company Trimel that they are developing a product to help women orgasm (blokes don't need any help apparently). The drug, named Tefina, is a gel spray that delivers a dose of testosterone up the nose 'as needed'. And good news - they're pretty sure it won't have side effects like deepening of the voice or facial hair. So that's a relief.

They expect to announce the results of their second human trial sometime this year (the first one asked women in the study to wank in a hospital environment after using the nose spray. A whopping 4 out of 58 were able to get themselves off). The drug is being developed to combat female orgasmic disorder, which they define as 'the persistent or recurrent delay in, or absence of, orgasm following a normal sexual excitement phase that causes marked personal distress or interpersonal difficulties'. Fleshbot was dismayed to see that the Medline Plus definition of orgasmic dysfunction refers solely to women not being able to come, and makes no mention of men with the problem.
