Sometimes alarming, oft-provoking, boundary-eschewing artist Marina Abramovic is coming back at us with something new; something she's termed the "Abramovic Method". It's described as "a series of exercises designed to heighten participants' awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment." And who's first to take this body-mind plunge but our favorite blurry-arty-popstar Lady Gaga?
We think it'd be pretty lovely to reach this hyperaware state of being amidst the forested lakeside tranquility that looks to be this awesome and remote bungalow the two inhabit. We're not sure how that would fly here amongst 8 million friends in the city... But it's no matter; we, being who we are, are happy to have Gaga engaged in this peaceful frame of mind, whatever the circumstance may be. Because, dear readers, it finds her in an also totally clothesless form. Hopefully she can bring this kind of comfort and awareness to many areas of her life. Then share them with us.
Oh, and hey, while we're at it, Marina's created a Kickstarter for The Marina Abramovic Institute, a place "dedicated to the presentation and preservation of long durational work, including that of performance art, dance, theater, film, music, opera, and other forms that may develop in the future." Cool! If you feel so inclined, here's the link.
