In Sebastien Tixier's "Ordinary Life Stories," the photographer presents various subjects plopped down in surreal scenes, drawing imagery from childhood dreams of growing up to be a "big girl" opposed with the realities of maturation. Translation for those who don't care about photography as art: strange ladies in strange lands with no clothing!
We admit that we have a little trouble wading our brains through the rich details in the pictures shot by Mr. Tixier, but we're having a damn good time examining the cleverly constructed scenes and we're plainly stunned by the beauty of the models. He notes on his website that "these stagings try to address the subject with a poetical view on dreams and desires" but that's all a bit too ethereal for us to latch onto. Whatever! We're just happy that he's going to be making more of these because they are so damn entertaining to gaze upon.
