Tricia Devereaux, dancer from Ohio, wandered into a Joey Silvera movie in 1995 wearing a cheerleader outfit. When it came off I felt like I was watching the solution for every Everclear album.
The movie was "Fashion Sluts 7" and Devereaux was 20. She had long 90's hair, a beautiful 90's body, a ridiculous 90's tanline, and a big red 90's mouth. 17 years later, I know the woman Tricia Devereaux has become, but this little scene in Evil Angel's 2-disc compilation "The True History of Fashion Sluts" was a blast because, well, it's not only fun to see Devereaux as her fresh-off-the-bus self but also, to paraphrase "Portlandia": The Dream of the Nineties is alive in Tricia Devereaux.
In addition, we watch Golden Age icon Silvera busting some Golden Age moves on this barely-legal Midwesterner, a time collision that rarely works outside of the adult business.
I don't subscribe to the hysteria that the sexes—particularly males—are deprived of an inkling of how to get along with each other due to the corrupting influence of porn, but I do see commercial porn like this as a kind of a lab; today's experiment proves that Yes, perhaps the creepy awkwardness of Older Perv/Hot Young Thing needn't be a dealbreaker.
I just heard Everclear's anthem/dirge "Summerland" this weekend (not on the radio, sadly) and thought about how no one should get away with calling the slacker generation empty, having made such a beautiful document about just being lost.

Then this scene popped up and I thought, "I'm glad Tricia Devereaux and Everclear didn't meet; who knows what would have become of either of them?"
