Netflix Picks: A Study On Sororities

Greek letter societies have been around since the 1700s, but the first organizations looked nothing like the frats and sororities we have today. Times change, universities change, but one thing stays the time: people are always going to want to see college-aged babes naked. If they had naughty sex romps in the eighteenth century, they'd probably look exactly like the films we chose for you today.

1. H.O.T.S.: This 1979 sex comedy stars three Playboy Playmates--Susan Kiger, Pamela Bryant, and Sandy Johnson--the Miss U.S.A. of 1972, a sexploitation actress, some B-movie veterans, and Danny Bonaduce; do you have to hear the plot when the cast is this awesome? If so, fine. The story follows Kiger, a freshman at Fairenville University, as she tries to fit in to her new school. After she gets rejected from the Pi sorority and ridiculed by their president, Kiger teams up with other rejected pledges and forms a new sorority called H.O.T.S. (after their initials), with the primary goal of stealing the Pi girls' boyfriends. Somehow, the way to do this is through a bunch of competitions, and eventually, the sororities settle their feud with a game of strip football. It's corny, it's carnal, and you see nudity at 1:00, 27:00, 39:00, and 1:33:00 through 1:35:00. Also, a little known fact: some believe that the H.O.T.S. girls' football uniforms inspired the Hooters uniforms.

2. National Lampoon's Pledge This!: Fast-forward thirty years and what do we have? More girls trying to get into snooty sororities! In "Pledge This!" three misfit girls lose their housing and have to find a sorority to join, so they pick the most popular and exclusive one on campus, Gamma Gamma, run by Paris Hilton. Paris only lets them in because she wants Gamma Gamma to win some FHM contest and she needs to show diversity in her roster, but once the contest ends, our heroes get kicked out. Revenge is sought, lessons are learned, and Paris gives a tender public apology. The writing in "Pledge This!" is nowhere near as good as that of "H.O.T.S.," but at least there's ample nudity at 20:00, 39:00, 53:00, 54:00, and 1:00:00. Also, this was supposed to be Paris Hilton's theater debut, but the release date was pushed back due to a hurricane, and then to film more nude scenes, and then it ended up going straight to DVD.
