Netflix Picks: A Double Feature Of Freakiness

Rather than throw a bunch of naughty flicks--also known as Nautflix--in your general direction and asking you to choose, we thought it'd be fun to design a cozy program of movie viewing for you and a loved one (and yes, your hand is a loved one). Tonight's menu involves two exciting and unusual films that both happen to involve pornstars!

1. Anatomy of Hell: Our first movie is by Catherine Breillat, and if you know anything about the woman, you know off the bat that her stuff always deals with female sexuality. The beautiful French actress Amira Caesar plays an unnamed lady (simply known as The Woman) who attempts to commit suicide in the bathroom of a gay nightclub. Rocco Siffredi finds and stops her, and Amira asks him to visit and watch her over the next four nights. They become intimate, discuss sexuality, and engage in (unsimulated) sex that leaves them impossibly bound to each other. It's a fairly short film--only one hour and thirteen minutes long--but it's jam-packed with naughtiness at about 0:13, 0:21, 0:28, 0:31, 0:34, 0:39, 0:44, and 0:50. Be warned: Rocco is freaky.

2. The Wayward Cloud: After you've refilled your popcorn, we have something a little bit lighter and goofier for you. "The Wayward Cloud" doesn't star any actual porn performers, but it is about a man who becomes a pornstar and tries to hide it so he can pursue a girl. It all takes place a drought-stricken Taiwan in which watermelons have enormous importance: they're the main source of water, they're served to guests, they're symbols of affection, and their juice is an aphrodisiac. The film has very little dialogue, a bunch of hilarious musical numbers, and nudity at 0:02, 0:06, 0:43, and 1:05. We recommend watching this one with a watermelon agua fresca!
